Light Sources

Electric light sources we can find are three: incandescent filament, tungsten halogen and discharge. This division is important because the light source directly affects how we perceive colors.

Incandescent Filament Lamps:
Filament incandescent lamps are those that cross the river by a tungsten wire filament, heating it up to put incandescent light using the energy given off. This is the classic light bulbs used in our homes.

Light-Sources

The light intensifies and attenuates warm colors cold. The varieties are many: bright light (the classic light bulb transparent), white, colored in different shades, daylight (similar to natural light), repellent (bug) or reflective.

Tungsten halogen lamp:
This type of halogen lamps are an improved version of the filament. They use the same tungsten filament, but replaced the argon gas common incandescent lamps by a halogen element, iodine, allowing to increase the temperature of the filament. Also, instead of using the common glass standard incandescent lamps used as a protective cover, unable to bear the high temperature of the new lamp, using quartz crystal.

These changes make incandescent lamps have a light clearer and brighter, and longer life than the filament. This type of light makes colors more vivid and enhances glassware and silver. For example, the dichroic are ideal for small spaces because it tends to enlarge its luminosity environments.

The varieties are shaded lamp reflector (dichroic), tubular halogen (or linear) and capsule (dual pin). For connection to the electrical current, unlike the thread of filament lamps, use pins or pins (the capsule and dichroic) or pressure terminals at each end (the linear tube). Today also be found with a cap screw connectors compatible with filament lamps.

Light Download:
Discharge lamps are those that exploits the luminescence produced by an electrical discharge in a gaseous atmosphere. The best known is interior fluorescent light.

Fluorescent light tubes, both straight and tubular fluorescent lamps and come in warm light and cold light (the latter similar to daylight).
